How can SETsquared help your tech business?
The SETsquared Partnership has a twelve-year history of accelerating high-tech, high growth businesses in Bath, Bristol, Exeter, Southampton and Surrey. During this time, we have supported over 1,000 companies who have raised in excess of £1bn investment.
In 2014, SETsquared was named as Europe’s top and the World’s no. 2 university business incubator by the University Business Incubator (UBI) Index.
We were therefore extremely proud to be asked to extend our services, together with Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, to support Basingstoke’s emerging technology companies. The new SETsquared Basingstoke hub was officially launched in Basing View in December.
Having been identified by the Enterprise M3 Local Enterprise Partnership as one of four key towns that would lead the economic growth in its area, Basingstoke is home to some very talented technologists and entrepreneurs, many of whom have cutting edge experience with leading global multi-nationals.
Entrepreneurial talent is abundant in Basingstoke and SETsquared is here to help individuals take the first brave step and form a start-up.
When it comes to business support we firmly believe that one size does not fit all! We get to know the businesses we work with and carefully design a programme of support tailored to their needs.
Our business support services include:
- Entrepreneurship training programmes
- Matching with mentors
- Preferential deals on software and services from big brand names
- A network of other entrepreneurs and academic experts within the high-tech field
- Access to investment
- Access to the Open Innovation Programme, which offers long-term partnerships with corporate partners
- Regular business review panels
- International Market Access
- Good quality, flexible office space (if required), otherwise support can be provided virtually
